User Experience in WordPress Development 💻🎨
Contrary to what is often believed, building a website is not a linear process divided into phases that separate professionals from different disciplines. A well-executed web project should resemble a neural map of interconnected disciplines working together to create a solid product.
One of the keys to making this possible is applying user experience to the development process of a WordPress website.
🧠 About the session
When we think about user experience, we usually associate it with design and the end user—the person who visits our website. However, the experience of the end user is influenced by all the disciplines involved in building the website: from SEO to development, content creation, and, of course, design decisions.
It is also shaped by the experience of the editor who manages the website.
In this session, we aim to reflect on the role development plays in user experience and show how we make design and development work together to achieve great results for both the end user and the editor. All of this using the website wpbarcelona.com as a real example.
