Build Your Own Private Cloud (Self-Hosting)
Tired of paying for storage subscriptions or having your data depend on big tech corporations? It’s time to take control. In this second event by the IEEE Student Branch UAB, you will learn how to transform any computer into a professional-grade server.
🛠️ What will you learn?
In this intensive practical session, we will cover the core pillars of self-hosting:
CasaOS: Installation and management of an intuitive dashboard for your server.
Secure Remote Access: Using NetBird (Zero Trust Networking) to connect to your server from anywhere in the world without opening vulnerable ports.
App Ecosystem: Recommendations for essential self-hosted services (file clouds, media managers, etc.).
