From IEEE Student Branch UAB and GDGoC UAB\, we officially welcome you to the 2026-2027 academic year with our highly anticipated Welcome Day. \nIf you want to get to know us\, discover what we do\, and learn how you can become part of one of the most active tech communities at the university\, this event is for you! \nWe will give a brief presentation of our plans\, workshops\, and projects for this semester. And right after that… comes the main event. 👀 We are bringing back one of our most popular and mischievous surprise activities from last semester. We can’t reveal what it is\, but we assure you that laughs\, competition\, and good vibes are more than guaranteed. \n✨ What awaits you at this Welcome Day?\n\nAcademic year presentation: Discover the AI\, software development\, and robotics workshops\, as well as the social events we are preparing for the coming months.\nSurprise activity: The best-kept secret of the afternoon. All we can say is that it was a huge success last semester. Come and find out!\nBrain Fuel (Free Monster!): To keep your energy up all afternoon\, we will have free Monster drinks for attendees from 15:00 to 17:00.\nReal networking: Meet students from other years at the School of Engineering who share your interests and make new friends from day one.\n\n📍 Event details\n\nDate: Thursday\, September 17\, 2026.\nTime: 15:00 – 17:00.\nLocation: Disseny Lab (Open Labs)\, UAB School of Engineering.\nRequirements: None.
