Printed Circuit Board Design with KiCad: From Idea to Real Design 🛠️⚡
Are you ready to bring your own electronic circuits to life? From IEEE Student Branch UAB x GDGoC, in collaboration with OpenLabs UAB, we invite you to a hands-on printed circuit board (PCB) design workshop using KiCad. You will learn how to design your own schematics and route copper traces to take any hardware project to the next level.
⚡ What will you find in this workshop?
- Introduction to PCB design: We will go from a conceptual sketch on paper to the screen intuitively and from scratch.
- Routing best practices: Practical engineering tips to ensure that your circuit traces work flawlessly and stay well-organized.
- Practical workflow: How to prepare manufacturing files (Gerbers) to send your own boards to professional manufacturers.
💻 Essential Requirement
- Your laptop ready to go: To follow the session dynamically and interactively, it is mandatory to bring a laptop with the latest version of KiCad installed and set to English.
