About us

Driving for engineering excellence

United to learn about this field while having fun

We created this space to make students want to come to university to learn and advance.

Our goal is to be the benchmark for practical engineering training at the UAB, creating an ecosystem where students can develop their technical and professional skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.

We aspire for every student who attends IEEE UAB to leave prepared to face the technological challenges of the future with confidence and creativity.

Statistically they get better results

According to a study, students who participate in the IEEE obtain a better GPA and practices with better conditions.

Why was it created?

After an exchange program at UC Irvine in 2025 and falling in love with his IEEE student chapter, Gil Ben Ami Strum has decided upon returning to UAB that he will do his best to create a student chapter at UAB.

A chapter to help students have a space to work on personal and community projects, socialize, compete, and provide a space for growth.
